2010
alpitecture codeĀ 2-10 will be taking place from 10 to 13 June in Bozen.
South Tyrol with its economic and cultural diversity creates the ideal framework in which to consider the Alps as an extreme living space, architecture as a designed living and working environment, and future-orientated technologies.
alpitecture code 2-10 begins with lectures by renowned professionals on the subjects of architecture, location management and economics, as well as the development of the region as regards building policy. In the course of an excursion, starting with the district heating station in Brixen, by way of the Sigmundskron Castle leading on to the Leifers parish church, the architects are able to experience the many sides to the picture of the region with its new architecture. Insights into the production of selected companies give testimony of the high standards of quality when fulfilling clients’ requirements.
The impressions gathered converge in the work of three workshops taking place in parallel on the topics: “Overdevelopment of village structures and natural spaces”, “Integrative architecture and energy systems”, and “The potential of industrial areas”.
The points of view arising and proposals are expressed in the participants’ arguments during a panel discussion following the lecture by Astrid Piber, Partner at UNStudio, Amsterdam.
